This is week 12 of the USS Hornet “Doolittle Raid” project. The SBD’s are getting closer to being completed. I also am working on some of the finer accessories for the hangar deck. Once the SBD’s are finished I will return to working on the hangar deck with details, lighting, and the crew members.

When I read about the ambitious build you had planned for this kit, I thought to myself “pretty cocky thinking you can pull this off to museum quality”, but I also thought “if anyone can pull this off, David can.”
So it’s been a joy to follow along, watching the plans become reality, all the detail included, especially the aircraft made with so much detail added, knowing that most will never be seen (unfortunately) by those that see it displayed. I only hope that a collection of WIP photos with explanation is included, so people know about how accurate and detailed this display truly is. I can’t wait to see this completed.

Actually they will see all the detail in the hangar as the doors are open and there will be lighting.
