The fourth and final week of the ICM 1/48 Russian U-2/P0-2 project is now finished. I completed all the rigging, installed the windscreens, and mounted the engine. This was a fun little build and all the rigging really brings out the realism.

New Air Wing Decal Set Added!

I have been doing a lot of decal work. I am going to be releasing decal sets as they become available. The first decal set to be released for 2026 is the CVW-17 Air Wing Decal Set for the USS Enterprise CVN-65 1996 cruise. This set has three pages of decals covering all the aircraft that were aboard during this cruise. Just to note this was the last cruise the USS Enterprise made with the Grumman A-6E aircraft aboard.

NEXT UP – Academy’s 1/48 TOW Defender 500D Helicopter!

For my next build I will be building the Academy 1/48 scale TOW Defender 500D and using the kit decals for the Israeli Ai Force. This kit does lack some details so there will be some scratch building of the missing details. Stay tuned to follow this small but deadly helicopter!

Just a quick note – Since I have retired from my career employment we are looking to relocate and downsize our house this spring. There will be no commission builds until after we relocate.
