1/48 Tamiya P-47D Razorback – “Gail Ann” 1944

This is the 1/48 Tamiya P-478D Razorback kit. The build is the scheme replicating the “Gail Ann” of the 381th Fighter Group, 19th Fighter Squadron at Isley Field, Saipan. I used the Tamiya P-47D Razorback kit and added custom decals, resin vertical seam drop tank, Eduard photo etch detail set, and Aber brass gun barrels. The completed aircraft was then mounted in a protective display case.
