1/48 Hobby Boss A-6A – “Flight of the Intruder”

This build was using the 1/48 Hobby Boss A-6A and building as the aircraft portrayed in the 1991 Viet Nam era movie “The Flight of the Intruder. The model itself was detailed using Eduard’s “BigEd” photo etch set as well as self made decals to represent the specific aircraft in the movie. The build had some challenges. The fit of the fuselage just forward of the cockpit did not fit together very well. It took a lot of time and putty to correct the issues so the nose would line up correctly. In the end it came out looking like the aircraft in the movie.
