This week I updated the USS Carl Vinson Gallery to display the award I won at the IPMS Nationals. The model won 1st place for 1/350 Aircraft Carriers. This was the first time I attended an IPMS national. It was an awesome weekend. The IPMS Chattanooga chapter hosted the event and did a spectacular job. Chattanooga is also a very nice city. This week I base coated the P-47D and started the decal process. The decals are working out great. I also do a little demo on making masks as I needed to make them for the fuselage insignias. Check out the details and photos in the build log. 1/48 P-47D Thunderbolt “Bubbletop”
