Weekly Update – 1/48 P-47D, CVN-65 Decal sheets updated and a New Tutorial!

This week I spent the week detailing the landing gear bays and landing gear on the Tamiya 1/47 P-47D. It is now entering the painting phase. You can see all the details in the Build log section. 1/48 P-47D Thunderbolt “Bubbletop”

I also added another mural to the 1/350 and 1/700 – 1/720 scale USS Enterprise Hangar Bay Decal sheet. It now includes the CV-6 mural that was on the port side wall of hangar bay # 2.  Check out all the ship decals on the decal page. Decals

And finally, I made a video (with the assistance of my talented son) of a tutorial on how to cut open panels on model aircraft. You can do this if you plan on opening panels on a model to detail the interior of an aircraft panel. I made this while opening the wing panels on my P-47D build to show the ammunition bays in the wing. Check out the video in the Tips and Tricks section. Cutting open panels on aircraft models.
