This is kind of the third week of the Hasegawa 1/72 P-3C Orion build. The “kind of” is because there was no update last week. My Wife and I went away to a friend’s cabin for a few days to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. I was able to finish some of the detail painting on the aircraft and then install the landing gear. I applied all the VP-8 squadron specific decals that I made and am currently working on installing the general decals using the kit decal sheet. This has turned into a very tedious job. The kit decal sheet is old (just like this kit) and the decals are very fragile. The goal is to finish the decals and detail the base so I can complete this build by next weekend. Stay tuned to see how this project finishes up!
You can see all the photos and details from the start t in the build log at: 1/72 P-3C Orion of VP-8
OTHER NEWS
As I stated previous this build was the first of three commission builds. Well now I have added two more commission builds. I will now be adding a second A-10 but adding lights and to finish off this round of commissions I will be building something I have never built before. I will be tackling the 1/25 Trumpeter American LaFRANCE Eagle Fire Truck! This should be interesting for both my fans and well as me.
My lovely Wife and I celebrated 31 years of marriage this past week. We spent it up in the U.P. of Michigan at a small cabin on a lake. It was nice to unplug, relax, and catch some fish. Here are some photos we took while we were there.
