The third week of the USS Arizona I continued adding railings. I had an issue with the area between the smoke stack and the superstructure which required me to scratch build numerous details in the smoke stack.
With the smoke stack detailing completed I went back adding more photo etch railings to the upper levels of the superstructure. I am hoping to get the superstructure built up and the forward mast assembled this coming week. You can see all the photos and details from the start in the build log at: 1/426 USS Arizona BB-39
DECAL NEWS – COMING SOON
I have been spending more time working on decal sets. I have two Air Wing decal sets that I am hoping to release them in the next few weeks. The two sets are the 1991 USS John F. Kennedy cruise with CVW-3. This cruise was the USS Kennedy supporting the Desert Shield and Desert Storm Operations. The second set is the 1995 USS Theodore Roosevelt cruise with CVW-8.
Some of the other Air Wing sets I want to release this year are the 1995 USS Independence cruise with CVW-5, the 2018 USS Harry S. Truman with CVW-1 and the 2015 USS Theodore Roosevelt world cruise with CVW-1.
