I have this kit, so far I’ve painted the main hull reddish to the water line, haze gray up to the flight deck. Flight deck is painted flat black (fresh out of the shipyard look) and painted the island components. It will never look as great as your lighted one, but it will look good enough to display, where? Depends on the wife.
